About The Programme

The Cambridge University Experience Week is a fully residential programme at the University of Cambridge. It is an intensive nine-day immersion for high school students over 16 years. This programme is crafted to replicate the rigorous Cambridge University undergraduate experience, focusing on Mathematics, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Participants will engage with leading academics through lectures, small-group Supervisions, and collaborative projects.

The balance of theoretical learning and practical application enhances intellectual growth and provides insights into Cambridge’s traditions and academic rigour.

Participants will engage in an in-depth learning experience, focusing on advanced studies in Math, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence. Over 20 hours of lectures will be delivered by Cambridge professors and lecturers, complemented by focus groups and the renowned Cambridge Supervision system. This immersive programme offers participants direct insight into the Cambridge undergraduate academic process while fostering academic and cultural exchange through networking opportunities with Cambridge scholars and peers. Additionally, participants will explore Cambridge’s rich history and culture through organised excursions, further deepening their understanding of its significance. The programme culminates in the awarding of a certificate co-branded by Christ’s College and SternaXP. Postgraduate mentors will also guide participants, ensuring enhanced academic outcomes and a deeper comprehension of their subjects.

Participants will immerse themselves in the full Cambridge experience, staying at Christ’s College with all meals included — breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks each day. This programme closely mirrors the Cambridge undergraduate journey, with a focus on Math, Data Science, and Artificial Intelligence, integrating these disciplines into various real-world applications. Over the course of the programme, participants will engage in 20 hours of lectures from distinguished Cambridge professors, complemented by focus groups or Supervisions that reflect the university’s unique approach to learning. Graduate participants from Cambridge will play a pivotal role, offering mentorship that bridges the gap between theory and practice, deepening the educational impact.

The experience isn’t confined to the classroom. An excursion on the final day will take participants beyond the college walls, exploring Cambridge’s historic sites and landmarks, grounding their academic journey in the rich context of the city itself. The programme spans from the evening of 13th December to the morning of 22nd December, encompassing seven days of intensive learning and one day of exploration. Upon arrival, participants will make their way to Christ’s College, where they will be welcomed by our local coordinators for guidance and orientation. Our team will manage daily logistics, smoothing over any potential challenges, while four adult chaperones provide constant supervision and support for the group of 20 participants, ensuring a well-rounded and attentive experience throughout the programme.
